Wind Mitigation Inspection
Documents how the roof and its connections are built to resist Florida storms, which may qualify the home for windstorm premium discounts. Flat rate.
Chapter 01
What a wind mitigation report puts on paper
I evaluate the roof, the walls, the insulation and the water permeability of your home, then write down the wind-resistant features the house already has. The job is documentation: what is there, how it is attached, and what it shows about the home's stability.
That includes roof-to-wall attachments and water barriers, the parts of a Brevard house that decide how it behaves in a high-wind event. You receive a meticulous report that lists the specific wind-resistant features of your property.

Up in the attic, where the connections hide
Attic access matters because the roof-to-wall connections hide up there, in the framing where trusses meet the walls.
A truss connector that has bent away from the wood tells a different story than one that sits flat and tight, and a photo of it belongs in the report. The same goes for what the framing and the water barriers show about how the roof was built.
With 23 years of construction experience, I know what a clean connection looks like and what a shortcut looks like, in Merritt Island houses and in the rest of Brevard County.
Chapter 03
The insurance side, and why I never promise a discount
If your insurance covers windstorms, you can submit the results of my inspection to your provider to potentially receive premium discounts. Whether a discount applies, and how large it is, is the insurer's decision, so I do not put a number on it.
I offer insurance inspections at a simple flat rate. This is a family-run business based in Merritt Island, and every report comes from one Florida-licensed inspector, licence HI13003. Call (321) 458-4816, Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
