Sewer Scope Inspection

A high-definition camera run through the main sewer line to find blockages, leaks and structural failures. Recommended for homes over 20 years old.

Chapter 01

The line you never see until it backs up

The main sewer line carries everything out of the house and under the yard to the street. It is buried, so nobody looks at it, and the first sign of a problem is usually water coming back up a drain.

A sewer scope is an internal look at that line. It finds blockages, leaks, cracks, tree root intrusions and structural failures while they are still a line on a report instead of an emergency.

Tree roots love older pipe. Once they find a joint they keep growing into it, which is why a scope is recommended for homes over 20 years old.

What the camera run looks like

Jim feeds a high-definition camera into the line from its reel and navigates the pipe, giving a clear view of its internal condition. That is how blockages, cracks and root intrusions get located instead of guessed at.

It is non-invasive. There is no excavation, no trench across the lawn and nothing torn up to get a look. The camera goes in, comes out, and the yard stays the way you left it.

Chapter 03

What you do with the findings

After the run you get a detailed report of everything the camera found, written so you can read it without a plumber beside you. If you are buying, you have it in hand before you decide.

Replacing a sewer line can cost thousands of dollars, so the point is to know now, while it can still be part of the negotiation or the repair plan. It pairs well with a comprehensive inspection on an older Brevard home, and Jim brings 23 years of construction experience to what the footage shows.
